Clarence W. Enos

Clarence W. Enos of Reading, March 19, 2010 at age 83. Beloved husband of Helen M. (Holland) Enos. Devoted father of Francis Enos and his wife Anna of NH and Robert Enos. Loving son of the late Adelaide G. (Oliver) Enos, Joseph G. Enos and his late stepmother Mary McGlaughlin. Dear brother of the late Charles, Lawrence, Anna Clark, George, John (Jack), Joseph Enos and Marion Muse. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Clarence was born, raised, and life long resident of Reading. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 2nd Class during WW II. When he returned home, he became a self-employed carpenter with many dedicated employees over the years and worked all his life in a profession he loved. He was a member of the American Legion, The Veterans of Foreign War, Disabled American Veterans, Massachusetts Builder's Association, Massachusetts Businessman's Association and he was most notably known for his 64 years of membership to the Reading Knights of Columbus Council # 1031 where he held many offices including 4th Degree, PGK, PFS, Mass State Council, and Financial Secretary. Clarence also donated countless hours throughout his life to such organizations as the Fernald School in Waltham, the Hawthorne Regional Center for Handicapped Children, Elder Services, Meals on Wheels, and Town Meeting Member.
Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING, Tuesday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Clarence's Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
