Cosmo J. "Gus" Velardocchia

Cosmo "Gus" J. Velardocchia, of Stoneham, passed away on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at his home. He was 93 years of age.

Born in Gaeta Italy, Gus was the son of the late Frank and Antonia (Assortato) Velardocchia. Gus was a very talented artist. He loved woodworking, painting, and designing. He loved to landscape and his lawn was immaculate. Gus was a perfectionist. He proudly defended our freedom as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He was deeply loved by all and will be missed by all who knew him.

Gus was the beloved husband of the late Florence "Flo"(Luberti) Velardocchia. He was the devoted father of William Velardocchia and his wife Jo-Martha Glushko, Linda Velardocchia – Fowler and her husband Tommy. Dear brother of Angelo Velardocchia and his wife Ann, dear sister, Mary Doyle and her husband Paul, and dear brother Daniel Velardocchia and his wife Connie. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Famliy Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Tuesday August 14, 2018 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Gus' Eternal Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
