Crystal A. Flanders

Crystal A. Flanders, of East Boston, formerly of Reading, passed away on Tuesday August 4th, 2026 after a long struggle with debilitating illness. She was 35 years of age.

She is survived by her parents Ken and Mary, grandmother Phyllis, sibling Cat and his partner K, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their children, all of whom will miss her greatly.

Crystal grew up in Reading MA. Her fondest memories were of family vacations in Narragansett RI with her extended family, especially her cousins of a similar age. She had a lifelong love of singing, dancing, and the theater arts. She earned an Associate degree in Psychology from Bunker Hill Community College, and was working towards a Bachelor’s degree at UMass Boston. Her dream was to become a Social Worker in the fields of mental health and addiction. She was an extremely bright and passionate person who cared deeply for those around her.

There will be a memorial service for her at the UU church in Reading  on September 19th at 11AM.
