Daniel J. Brienze of Stoneham passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Winchester Hospital. He was 84 years of age.
Born in Boston, Daniel was the loving son of the late Domenic Brienze and Carmella (Porcela) Brienze. Daniel was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Daniel was a dedicated letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years. During World War II, Daniel proudly served our country as a Seaman First Class in the United States Coast Guard. He was given a Purple Heart for his selfless and courageous service.
Daniel was the beloved husband of the late Paula (Zarba) Brienze. He was the devoted loving father of Philip D. Brienze and his late wife Nuala of Stoneham, Vincent Brienze and his wife Martha of West Newbury and Dana Brienze of Maine. Daniel was the cherished grandfather of Jennifer Ward of Beverly, the dear brother of Robert Brienze of Nahant and the late Pasquale Brienze. He was the brother in law of Lucy Brienze of Cambridge and was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Daniel's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Wednesday 3-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
