Daniel R. "Danny" Ryan

Daniel “Danny” Ryan, of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born in Cambridge on August 18, 1948, Danny was the youngest of eleven children born to Robert and Jessie (Abbott) Ryan. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable service, he was a hard worker who spent many years with Anheuser-Busch, Teamsters Local 122.

Danny’s family meant everything to him. He and his beloved wife, Pat (Barrett) (Pfuderer), were together for 40 years. They were true best friends who built a life full of laughter, good times, and great memories. In recent years, they loved nothing more than going on cruises with their lifelong friends.

Known for his unmistakable laugh and sense of humor, Danny was always a bright spot in the room. He read the Boston Herald every day, loved trying his luck at the track, and was a dedicated New England sports fan.

He was the devoted father of Daniel Ryan Jr. and his wife Lisa. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Danny held a special place in his heart for Rylie, Lea, Max and Maggie who affectionately knew him as “Pappy.”

Danny was predeceased by his siblings: Marion Acenas, June Beaulieu, Alice Chartier, Mildred Barton, Robert Ryan Jr., Doris Brown, Barbara Bowers, David Ryan, Roseann Duggan and Betty Demers.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Danny’s Family on Monday, June 15th from 4-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
