Daniel (Danny) R. Gallitano of Stoneham passed away on Saturday December 2, 2017. He was 32 years of age.
Danny was the beloved father of Kristina Gallitano and her mother Billie Jean, Ayah Gallitano and her mother Kimmy. He was the devoted son of George and Karen (Everitt) Gallitano. Loving grandson of JoAnne (DeMarco) and George Gallitano, and the late Virginia Jordan and Robert Everitt. Dear brother of Sara Gallitano and her fiancé Patrick Wayne. Best friend of Jamie Kergarauat. Nephew of Paula Gallitano, Peter Gallitano, Francis Gallitano, Nicola Gallitano Corrigan, Steven Everitt, Cheryl Miller, Charee Stanton, Robert Everitt and David Everitt. Also survived by many loving cousins including Stephanie Hamby, Francesca, Kaitlyn, Matthew Gallitano, Sophia Corrigan and many more.
Danny's infectious grin brought joy to the people he loved and to the many who loved him. He was intelligent and creative, and he loved to compose music and poems. Danny loved super heroes and Star Wars. He loved spending time with family and friends, and the entire Gallitano family is comforted by our final visit with Danny on Thanksgiving Day.
Danny had a hard life. He developed severe asthma at the age of 18 months and diabetes at age four. He was hospitalized many times as a child, and he overcame the difficulties he faced because of his illnesses. Sadly, Danny fought addiction for many years, and he was doing very well over the last few months. His sudden death was a true shock to family and friends.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Daniel's Life will be held on Sunday December 10th 2017 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM at 3:30pm.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family prior to the service from 1pm – 3:30pm. Parking attendants and elevator available.
