David Roffi a lifelong resident of Reading passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was 57 years of age.
Born in Boston, he was the loving son of Louis J. Roffi and the late Nancy (Direnzo) Roffi. David was a warm and loving son, husband, father, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed.
David worked for Reading Light Company for over 30 years. He taught Drivers Education for Tri Town Driving School for over 11 years. David graduated from Reading High School, Class of 1971 and also from Newbury College.
Beloved husband of Jody A. (Zanti) Roffi. Devoted father of Thomas Palange and his fiance Caitlin Wilson, Kirk Roffi and Marlena Roffi all of Reading. Loving son of Nancy (Direnzo) and Louis J. Roffi. Brother of Joseph Roffi of Woburn. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating David's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 11am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available.
In lieu of flowers, please honor David by making donations in his memory to MGH Cancer Center, in recognition of Erika Barrett, Yawkey Bldg, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
