David W. Smith

David W. Smith of Reading passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 in Peabody. He was 75 years of age.

Born on February 21, 1939 in Melrose, Massachusetts, David was the loving son of the late Walter A. and Rose (Saulnier) Smith.

David worked at Atlantic Food and as a mason for Edward Doucette. He was a warm and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. David proudly served in the United States Army.

David was the dear brother of Edith G. Strob and her husband Joseph and Edwin M. Smith. He was the devoted uncle of Joseph Strob, Jr. and Eric Strob.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Friday, August 29, 2014 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating David's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment with Military Honors Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
