Dennis A. Moreno

Dennis A. Moreno, of Reading, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2023 at home with his family by his side. He was 85 years of age.

Dennis loved spending time with his grandchildren, going to breakfast at Pignone’s restaurant with his good friends, and frequent lunch gatherings with close relatives.  He enjoyed playing cribbage on Friday nights in a league and was a member of the North Reading Moose Lodge. He enjoyed game night at home playing scrabble after dinner with his family, doing crossword puzzles in the morning paper or any paper for that matter. He always wanted to control the kitchen and could always be seen cooking breakfast in the morning, lunch and dinner. He also spent time playing cards like solitaire, sorry, parchese and many other fun games with Olivia, Rita and Joanne. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football. Dennis held various jobs in both the construction and food service industries.

Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING on Thursday  May 11th, 2023 at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Dennis' Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30 am. Interment with military honors at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday May 10th, 2023 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
