Diran Goshtigian

September 16, 1910 — May 5, 2003

Diran "Danny" Goshtigian of Stoneham passed away Monday May 5, 2003 at Winchester Hospital. He was 92 years of age.

Born in Chelsea, Danny was a longtime resident of Stoneham. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His warm welcoming smile reflected all the wonderful lives he touched. He will be missed by all.

Danny was employed by the Boston Globe as a photographer. He had photographed many infamous events such as the Coconut Grove Fire. He then turned to his passion, sports photography. Danny took pictures of some of the most famous athletes such as Ted Williams and Babe Ruth.

Mr. Goshtigian was the beloved husband of Angela (Costa) Goshtigian. He was the devoted father of Patricia Caggiano and her husband Luigi M. of Reading, D. Christopher Darryn and his wife Laurie of California, Camille Bertini of Washington and the late Johnny Goshtigian. Danny was the cherished grandfather of Giancarlo Madonnini, Thomas Bertini, Christine Puopolo, Darlene Clogston and Camille McMahon. He was also the great grandfather of 11 great grandchildren. Danny was the dear brother of Gabe Goshdigian and his wife Terry of Methuen, Varney Goshdigian and his wife Margie of Revere, Mary Yacubian of Chelsea, Marion Franchesci of Everett and the late Charles and Harry Goshdigian.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8, 2003 at 9am in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 3-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM.
