Domenic C. "Dick" Guarino
September 21, 1930 — February 2, 2022
Domenic C. "Dick" Guarino of Stoneham passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 surrounded by his children. He was 91 years of age.
Born on Sunday, September 21, 1930 in Boston, Dick was the loving son of the late Vincent Guarino and Rose (Passanisi) Guarino. Dick was a generous, kind and caring, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He and his vivid personality will be truly missed.
Dick was strong-willed and actively fought to do the things he loved until recently. His greatest passion was cooking, baking and pickling anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed cooking for and sharing his recipes/ideas with others. Dick thoroughly enjoyed sharing all kinds of stories especially about his beloved grandchildren, his youth, the West End, the Coast Guard and fishing. He was full of life and cognizant until the very end and will be sorely missed.
Dick very proudly defended our freedom by serving as a Seaman in the United States Coast Guard and was a proud and dedicated Local 25 Union Truck Driver for many years.
Dick was the beloved husband of the late Pauline J. (Sparco) Guarino. He was the devoted father of Richard Guarino and Cheryl Buccelli and her significant other Philip F. Norton. The cherished grandfather of Marc Buccelli and Lauren Buccelli, Dick was the dear brother of Rose Tricomi and her late husband Anthony, Samuel Guarino and his late wife Rita, Margaret Burpee and her husband Frederick, Marie Testa and her late husband Albert, the late Anna Castignetti and her late husband Andrew and the late Gerald Guarino and his late wife Stella. He was also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Domenic's Eternal Life will be held on Monday, February 7th at 12pm in Saint Joseph's Church, 173 Albion Street Wakefield. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Dick's family on Monday from 10:30 - 11:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
