Domenick Zanni

Domenick Zanni Jr. of Reading passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Winchester Hospital. He was 87 years of age.

Born on July 28, 1930 in Reading, Domenick was a lifelong resident of Reading. He is the loving son of the late Domenick Zanni and Marie (Fulgoni) Zanni. Domenick was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Domenick was a partner in his family owned business Domenick Zanni Sons, Inc. He had a lifelong passion for thoroughbred horses. He was an owner and trainer and was in the winner's circle many times. Domenick proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Marine Corps. His true love was for his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Domenick is the beloved husband of the late Nancy J. (Buckler) Zanni. He is the devoted father of Gregory Zanni and his wife Linda, Christopher Zanni and his wife Lisa, Steven Zanni and his wife Wendy and the late Jeffrey Zanni. The cherished grandfather of Gregory Zanni and his wife Rachael, Christopher Zanni and his wife Jennifer and Dana, Amanda, Shane and Dillan Zanni, Domenick is the adoring great grandfather of Elle, Grace & Rosie. He is the dear brother of Dorothy Zanni, Joseph Zanni and his wife Sylvia, William Zanni, Marie Gagnon and her husband Raynor and Edward Zanni and his wife Maria. Domenick is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Domenick's Eternal Life will be held on Thursday at 12pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home,11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Service, beginning at 9am in the Funeral Home. Interment is private at the request of the Family.
