Dominic "Uncle Dom" Bordinaro of Saugus passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Elmhurst Health Care in Melrose. He was 93 years of age.
Born on July 21, 1926 in Boston, Dominic is the loving son of the late Sebastiano Bordinaro and Sebastiana (Ternullo) Bordinaro. Dominic is a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dominic was the proud owner of Gloucester Seafood in Stoneham for over 30 years. During World War II, Dominic bravely defended our freedom by serving as a Private First Class in the United States Army.
Dominic is the beloved husband of Rose Marie (DiDonato) Bordinaro. He is the devoted father of Ann Marie Bordinaro, Nancy Paglierani and her companion John, Annette Bordinaro and James Bordinaro. Dominic is the cherished grandfather of Rene McShane, Derek McShane and his wife Demi, Ashley Kinsman and her husband Brian, Kristin Paglierani and the late Kevin McShane and his surviving wife Lisa. He is lovingly survived by his 10 wonderful great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dominic was predeceased by 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Dominic's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, August 21st at 10am in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Mass on Wednesday from 8:30am – 9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Saint Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
