Donald Peter Arsenault, born on January 20th, 1931 passed away quietly on December 1st, 2012. He is survived by his family. His wife of 58 years, Rosalind Elaine Silva. His children and their spouses; Michael and Anne Arsenault, Michele and Thomas Leonard, Deborah and Raymond Price, Douglas and Cindy Arsenault, Gregory and Karen Arsenault, and daughter-in-law Debra Arsenault. He is the beloved "Grandpa" to; Stephanie and her husband Charley Moore, Melanie and Matthew Leonard, Tyler and Madison Price, Kayla and Katelyn Arsenault, Raymond, Bryan, Dylan and Brandon Arsenault and great grandfather to Tatum Moore.

He was the son of Peter and Obeline Arsenault. He was the fourth of six children. He had a deep lasting love for his parents, his siblings and their families. He will join his sister, Eileen Diorio, and brothers Clarence and Walter Arsenault in heaven. He will leave behind his younger brothers and their wives, Ernest and Louisa Arsenault and Jack and Frances Arsenault.

Donald was born in Reading, Massachusetts, where he spent his entire life. He had a great love of New England and the town of Reading. He never felt any great desire to look beyond its limits. All of life's greatest gifts, for him, were right there.

He worked as a glazier. Building and repairing greenhouses would be his life's work, until his retirement. A career he cherished.

Donald was soft spoken, but possessed a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed immensely the routine of his day, his friends, and had a passion for reading the newspaper. Donald was incredibly well read. He was a man secure in his views, his opinions, but often expressed them with a true wit. He cared deeply about his family, his friends and the world around him.

Donald was loved. He will be immeasurably missed. He will be laid to rest with his mother and siblings. Still in Reading.

In lieu of flowers, his family would welcome your donation in Don's name to Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
