Donna M. Holden

Donna M. Holden of South Thomaston, Maine, formerly of Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was 74 years of age.

Born on Saturday, February 19, 1949 in Stoneham, Donna was the loving daughter of the late Roger Holden and Evelyn (MacKenzie) Holden. Donna was a warm, gentle, and kind daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Donna graduated from Cherry Hill High School in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, in 1967.  She worked as a dental assistant at various offices in the greater Boston area throughout her career, finishing at Harvard University. In 2007, Donna moved to South Thomaston where she continued in the dental field. She also worked at the Weskeag Inn and the Samoset Resort.

Donna loved gardening, traveling, reading, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. Her family always included a dog and cat as she loved animals. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting holiday dinners. She treasured traditions such as annual mother/daughter weekends, Fourth of July family cookouts, and Boston Pops holiday shows. Donna loved socializing. She easily made friends wherever she went and frequently got involved in her community.

Donna was the mother of Christopher Hall and his wife Christine, and Shawn Hall.  She was the grandmother of Brianna Hall, James Hall, and Charlotte Hall.  She was the sister of Dean Holden and his wife Darlene.
