Dorothea "Dorothy" G. Wallace of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008.



Born in Boston, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Shea) Flanagan and Ernest Flanagan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all.



Dorothy was a long time employee of Dr. Frank Hinnendael of Reading. She was employed by Winchester Hospital in the Operating Room as a Technician. After retirement, Dorothy volunteered at Winchester Hospital Ambulatory Care Unit. She enjoyed frequent trips to Foxwoods. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an avid tennis player and fan.



Dorothy was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Wallace with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Thomas A. Wallace and his wife Carole, Karen A. Wallace, Jerry E. Wallace and his wife Louise, Kevin F. Wallace and his wife Deborah, Patrick J. Wallace and his wife Karen and Jane D. Goggin and her husband Kevin. Dorothy was the cherished grandmother of 14, great grandmother of 5. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.



Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Dorothy's life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Sunday from 4-7pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
