Dorothy E. Clemens

Dorothy Eleanor (Shaw) Clemens, formerly of Woburn, long time resident of Reading, and recently Billerica, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.





Dot was a long time employee of the McCord/Winn company in Winchester. Nana dot loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and more recently her great grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching her sons in all of their athletic endeavors and was always in attendance. She loved listening to the Red Sox as well as the other Boston sports teams. She was also a voracious consumer of the news and current events and was always ready to engage a friend or family member in a discussion about the news of the day.





Dot was the beloved wife of the late John C. Clemens. She was the devoted mother of Peter Clemens and his wife Pamela of Billerica, John Clemens and his wife Nancy of Methuen and Paul Clemens and his wife Lynne of North Reading. Dot was the cherished grandmother of Tarah, Samantha, Melinda, Jennifer, Amanda, Lauren, Rachael, Erica, Matthew and Alyson. She was the loving great grandmother of Livia, Josh and Kylie. She was the dear sister of the late Freda Anderson. Dot was also survived my many loving nieces and nephews.





A Funeral Service celebrating Dorothy's life will be held on Monday at 11 am in the Chapel of the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday from 3-6pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
