Dorothy E. (Jordan) Griffin of Reading passed away on Friday April 26, 2013 at Lahey Clinic. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Melrose, Massaachusetts, Dorothy was the loving daughter of Quinn W. and Mary (Boyle) Jordan. Dorothy was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening. She was an avid reader. Dorothy loved to travel.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of Robert D. Griffin. She was the devoted mother of John Griffin and his wife Susan, David Griffin and his wife Janet, Cathy Cochran and her fiance Ray Thigpen, Jim Griffin and his wife Dawn, Nancy Nichols, Ann Marie Casey and her husband Paul, and Joan Le Blanc and her husband Barry. Dorothy was the cherished grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 10. She was the dear sister of the late Thomas and Paul Jordan. Dorothy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Dorothy's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at 10am in the Chapel of the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available.
