Dorothy F. (Murphy) Dunn

Dorothy F. (Murphy) “Dot” Dunn of North Reading passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2022.  She is 97 years of age.

Born on Friday, May 29, 1925 in Woburn, Dot is the loving daughter of the late Eugene Murphy and Anne (O’Brien) Murphy.  Dot is a warm, gentle and kind daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend who will be truly missed.

Dorothy was a devout Catholic and a daily communicant at Saint Theresa’s Church in North Reading.  For several years, she worked as a waitress.

Dot is the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Dunn.  She is the devoted mother of the late Joey Dunn.  The cherished sister of Teresa Garrity and her late husband Richard, John Murphy and his wife Teresa, Eugene Murphy and his wife Irene and the late Mary Williams, Dot is the dear sister-in-law of Andrew Williams.  She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Dot’s Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, August 24^th at 10:30am in Saint Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street, North Reading.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Dot’s Family on Wednesday, prior to the Mass from 9am – 10am in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street READING.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.  Interment Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
