Dorothy R. (Madden) O'Connell

Dorothy R. (Madden) O'Connell of Somerville passed away on July 28, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 87 years of age.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. O'Connell. She was the devoted mother of Joe O'Connell, Kevin O'Connell and his wife Diann and the late Dorothy O'Connell, Kathleen O'Connell, Robert O'Connell and Ginny Casey. Dorothy was the cherished grandmother of many and great grandmother of 2. She was the dear sister of the late Richard Madden, Robert Madden, Rudy Madden and Carol Galvin. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Dorothy's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Somerville at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Dorothy by making donations in her memory to Boston Children's Hospital for Pulmonary Research c/o Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Dr., Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
