Dorothy M. (Pike) Riccardelli of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2013 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was 68 years of age.
Born in Middleborough, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Roy and E. Gertrude (Smith) Pike.
Dorothy graduated from Greater Boston Academy. She raised her family in Stoneham and was a resident for more than 50 years. Dorothy worked as a Nurse's Aide at New England Sanitarium Hospital in Stoneham. She later worked as a bookkeeper and Relocation Director for Century 21 GR Associates in Stoneham for 20 years. Her family and grandchildren meant everything to her. She always wanted to help people. She volunteered in her granddaughter's elementary school library for over ten years and also volunteered for over five years at Children's Hospital helping children with activities. Dorothy was also a member of the Mayflower Society.
Dorothy was the devoted mother of Lisa Jordan and her husband William and Gina Kelley and her husband Richard. She was the cherished "Grammie" of Meghan, Amanda, Ashleigh, Erin and Katie. Dorothy was the dear sister of Richard Pike, Russell Pike, Twin Brother Donald Pike and the late Beverly Blancher. She was the former wife of George Riccardelli. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Dorothy's Life will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 10am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 3-6 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
