Edith Teresa (Walsh) Fallon

Edith Teresa (Walsh) Fallon of Reading, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Winchester Hospital. She was 88 years of age.

Born on May 4, 1926 in Somerville, Edith was the loving daughter of the late David W. Walsh and Edith I. (McGrory) Walsh. Edith was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who were privileged to have known her.

Edith was a dedicated nurse for many years. Her passion of caring for others was demonstrated by the care she gave to her patients as well as her family. They were first and foremost in her life.

Edith was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Fallon. She was the devoted mother of Kathleen Fallon and her husband Mark Horning, Frederick Fallon and his wife Deborah, Patricia Fallon, Richard Fallon, Charles Fallon, Robert Fallon and his wife Joy, Jeanne Driscoll and her husband William, Mimi Pomerleau and her husband Ron, Joseph Fallon and his wife Jung Soo Kim and the late John Fallon. Edith was the cherished grandmother of David and William Horning, Michael Fallon, Katy Bitner, John Fallon, Kim and Dan Pomerleau, Chris and Andrew Driscoll, Thomas and Peter Fallon. She was also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Edith's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
