DeSousa, Eduardo C. –Of Somerville. March 3rd. Beloved husband of Maria Lucia (Faleiro) DeSousa. Father of Stephen P. and his wife Lara of Medford and Edward X. DeSousa and Sabina of North Reading. Grandfather of Edward and Kristine and great grandfather of Ashley, Lucia, Noah and Matthew. Brother of Liliana DeSousa of Lynn and the Fernando "Freddie" DeSousa and his wife Kathy of Truro. Eduardo is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Eduardo was born in Portugal in 1931 to the late Joao and Maria DeSousa. During his adolescent years he started working at a Pharmacy and was an apprentice by age 11. Eduardo eventually became in charge and ran his own pharmacy; which was like a doctor in those days. Eduardo immigrated to the U.S. with his family in pursuit of the American dream. He worked as a donut maker, misc. laborer and finally a picture frame maker at the Carr Co. factory in Somerville. He retired after 30 years while never missing a single hour or day of work.  Eduardo worked very hard to give his family a good life. Relatives and friends are most respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Ave., Cambridge on Friday, March 6th at 10am.
