Edward V. Del Ninno Sr. of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, passed away on Saturday November 13, 2004 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was 76 years of age.
Born in Medford, Edward was a resident of Stoneham for the past 51 years. Edward was the son of the late Saverio Del Ninno and Lugina (Carullo) Del Ninno. Edward was a compassionate and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all.
Edward was a dedicated employee for many years at Sunoco and Texaco stations on Main Street in Stoneham. Edward enjoyed walking and could be seen almost everyday at Dunkin Donuts in Redstone Shopping Center talking with his many friends. Edward had a passion for his family. They were first and foremost in his life. During the Korean War, Edward proudly served our country as a Private First Class in the United States Army.
Edward was the beloved husband of 51 years to Evelyn G. (Thompson) Del Ninno. He was the devoted father of Jean Bruno and her husband Patrick of Wakefield, Edward V. Del Ninno Jr. and his wife Lois of North Andover, Susan McLeod and her husband Robert of Hampstead New Hampshire and Karen Brown and her husband Thomas of Reading. Edward was the cherished grandfather of Anthony, Andrea, Christopher and Rachel. He was the dear brother of Claire Broaderick of Burlington, and the late Silvio, Nicholas, and Connie Shannon.
A Celebration of Edward's life will be held on Saturday November 20th at 4pm in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Saturday from 2-4pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
