Edward J. "Ed" Duffy
September 29, 1959 — March 31, 2020
Edward J. "Ed" Duffy of Stoneham passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home. He was 60 years of age.
Ed was born on September 29, 1959 in Boston. He is the loving son of the late George Duffy and Ruth (Cunniff) Late. Ed is warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed.
Ed worked at Verizon Telecommunications for many years. Family was first and foremost for Ed. He was proudly his kids' number one fan at their swim meets and hockey games. Ed loved to golf and he was known for his story telling. An avid sports fan, Ed enjoyed watching any Boston sports team.
Ed is the beloved husband of Deborah (Connors) "Debbie" Duffy. He is the devoted and cherished father of Connor and Makenzie Duffy. The dear brother of George Duffy, James Duffy and his wife Debbie and the late Jean Duffy, Ed is the dear uncle of James Duffy and his wife Carly, Courtney Duffy, Kathleen Flaherty and her husband Mark, Cristine Cristiano and her husband Nick. Ed is now reunited with his loving dog McDuff.
Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, funeral services are private and a Celebration of Ed's life will be held at a later date.
