Eileen C. (Welch) Fitzsimmons of Stoneham passed away on Friday, May 21, 2004 at Newton Health Care Center in Newton. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Medford, Eileen was the daughter of the late John Welch and Louise (King) Welch. Eileen was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Eileen was a dedicated Nurses Aid for Lawrence Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed Bingo and gardening. Eileen was known for making the "best chocolate cookies in the world."
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Charles Fitzsimmons. She was the devoted mother of Robert Fitzsimmons of Stoneham and the late Lawrence Fitzsimmons of Rhode Island. Eileen was the cherished grandmother of Robyn, Robert Jr., Lori and Lisa, and the loving great grandmother of 3.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend one hour of visitation Wednesday 9-10am followed by a Prayer Service in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
