Eileen T. (Santan) Lee of North Reading passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026. She was 89 years of age.
Born on Thursday, May 21, 1936 in Hackensack, New Jersey, Eileen was the loving daughter of the late Peter Santan and Frances (Fasulo) Santan. Eileen was a warm, kind, caring, gentle & loyal daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be truly missed.
Eileen was deeply devoted to her family and cherished every moment spent with those she loved. She was a faithful member of St. Theresa's Parish, where she participated in Christian Community Service and generously gave her time helping members of the community. Eileen also enjoyed being active in the North Reading Theater Workshop, where she shared her love of the arts and friendship with others. In her free time, she found joy in knitting, playing bingo, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched many lives and will be remembered always.
Eileen was the beloved wife of Peter W. Lee. She was the devoted mother of Donna Maloney and her husband James, Peter Lee and his wife Lisa and David Lee and his wife Melissa. The cherished grandmother of Kelly and her husband Richard, Laura, James and his wife Lauren, Daniel, Peter, Joanna, Stephanie and Nicole, Eileen was the doting great grandmother of Karissa, Matthew, Lucy, Casey, Nora, Emmy, Bailey, Tyler, Hazel and Rylee.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Eileen’s Family on Friday, May 22nd from 4-8pm in the Barile – Cota Family Funeral Home, 335 Park Street, (corner of Park St. & RT 28), North Reading at Reading line.
