Elaine J. (Fitzpatrick) Turner, 84, of Londonderry, NH (formerly of Stoneham, MA) passed away on Friday, August 09, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with dementia.

Elaine, beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on April 06, 1941, to May R. (Lannon) Fitzpatrick and James J. Fitzpatrick in Somerville, MA. She was the sister of James R. Fitzpatrick of Revere, MA. In her childhood, Elaine was an eager student and spent many years as a girl scout where she made many lifelong friends.

In 1959, Elaine graduated from the last all women class of Saint Mary Annunciation High School in Cambridge, MA. In 1962, Elaine graduated from Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in Dorchester, MA.

Aside from her Catholic faith, nursing was her greatest passion. Elaine loved being a nurse! She had an amazing 50+ year career that began as a floor nurse at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA and ended as a nursing supervisor at the Somerville Hospital in Somerville, MA. After retiring from working in the hospital she spent some time as a school nurse at St. Patrick School in Stoneham, MA.

Elaine married the love of her life, her husband of nearly 61 years, Deacon John R. (Bob) Turner in 1964 at St. Polycarp Church in Somerville, MA. Together they enjoyed many trips to Puerto Rico, Foxwoods Casino, and many other destinations with some of their closest friends. Elaine and Bob also spent much of their time together working for the Catholic church in various capacities and attending the many sporting events of their grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Bob, and their four children: Kimberly (Turner) Bears and her husband Paul Bears of Londonderry, NH, Kelley (Turner) Andrews and her husband Jesse Andrews of Londonderry, NH, Kevin Turner and his wife Rhonda of Stoneham, MA, and Keith Turner and his wife Maria of Nashua, NH.

Elaine was blessed with eight grandchildren who were the light of her life: Kelsey Elaine (Andrews) Brooks, Michael Paul Bears, Kevin John Turner, Daniel Paul Bears, Ashley Margaret Andrews, Robyn Diana Turner, Adam James Andrews, and Martin Robert Turner.
