Eleanor C. (Smith) Keefe

July 24, 1925 — July 24, 2021

Eleanor C. (Smith) Keefe, of Reading, passed away on Saturday, July 26th which was her 96th birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Keefe, to whom she was married for over 60 years.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Doucette) Smith. Eleanor was a graduate of Reading High School.
Eleanor was a warm and caring person and never judged anyone. She was always there if you needed something. She never drove a car, but she loved her Sunday rides into Boston with Fred. She enjoyed traveling with Fred, dinners with her family or any time spent with family and betting on the Patriots with her son-in-law Jamie, which Eleanor won 99% of the time.

She also enjoyed staying at the Cape with her daughter and son-in-law. She was the best Mom anyone could ever ask for and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Jimmy and Priscilla took care of Eleanor after Fred passed away and because of the help and care she was given, she was able to stay in her own home almost to the end, and for that we are all very grateful.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Randy) of Methuen, Nancy (Jamie) of Osterville and Jimmy (Priscilla) of Reading, grandchildren Jennifer (Rich) of Texas, Bradd (Alicia) of NH and Angela (John) of Methuen, great grandchildren Connor, Brookelynn, MacKenzie and Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were private.
