Eleanor C. Menz

April 23, 1914 — September 5, 2004

Eleanor C. Menz of Reading, formerly of West Roxbury, died on September 5, 2004 following a brief illness. She was 90 years of age.

She was the devoted sister of Louise Fraher of West Roxbury, Marjorie A. Trainor of Manchester, New Hampshire, Rose M. McLaughlin and her husband William J. of Reading, the late Paul Menz and Katherine Scholl. Eleanor was the sister in law of Esther Menz of W. Roxbury. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor worked for the Boston Police Department for 48 years, and was a dedicated worker for Catholic Charities, Boston Aid to the Blind and Holy Name Church of West Roxbury since 1940.

Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Thursday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 11am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 3-7pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery W. Roxbury.
