Eleanor M. (Covino) Palumbo, of Stoneham, passed away on Friday November 15, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home.
Eleanor is the beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Palumbo. She is the cherished mother of Kenneth Palumbo and his wife Jackie Courtney Palumbo, Judy Palumbo and her fiancé Philip McLaughlin, Joanne Lyons and her husband Richard, Bobby Palumbo and his wife Rebecca and the late Tommy Palumbo and his surviving wife Mary. Eleanor is the mother in law of Linda Palumbo Litchfield. Loving grandmother of Ashley Cotter and her husband Rob, Nicole Palumbo and her husband David Hession, Laura Shaw and her husband Chris, Justine Lyons, Jaclyn Lyons, Brianna Palumbo, Brian Palumbo, Michael DiFlippo, Jeffrey Janes and Daniel Blandini and the late Kayleigh Janes. Eleanor is the devoted great grandmother of Alana, Damian, Benicio and Kayleigh. Dear sister of the late Louis Covino and his late wife Julie and Diane FitzGerald and her late husband Robert. Eleanor is the aunt of Laura Pica and her husband Jim and their children, Eric and Elizabeth. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass Celebrating Eleanor's Eternal Life on Wednesday November 20, 2019 at 11am in Saint Patrick Church 71 Central Street STONEHAM. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
