Eleanor (Camuso) Sylvia died peacefully in her home in Tewksbury on February 2 at the age of 86.
Eleanor was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Grace (Anesse) Camuso.
Eleanor worked at the Appleton Inn in Woburn until her retirement in 1989. She could most often be found crocheting beautiful works of art to decorate her home or to share with others. Eleanor enjoyed gathering her family around the dinner table and cooking large meals for them. Her children and her grandchildren were the pride of her life and she enjoyed spending much of her time with them.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Walton Sylvia who was she was married to for 44 years. She was the devoted mother of Daniel Manning and his wife Paula, Deborah Henderson and her husband, the late Robert Henderson, III, Walton Sylvia, Jr., Terry Sylvia and his wife Laurie and Eleanor Florence and her husband James. She was the cherished grandmother of 9 Great Grandmother of 4. Eleanor was the dear sister of Phyllis Amaral, Richard Camuso and his wife Evelyn and the late Gerenino Camuso and his wife Alberta, Julio (Ro) Camuso and his wife Linda, Camille Lewis and her husband Bill and Dorothy Goyette. Dear sis-in-law to Lawrence Goyette. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Eleanor's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 12:00pm. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
