Eleanor M. (Minghella) Visocchi

Eleanor M. (Minghella) Visocchi, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 24th, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was 98 years of age.

Eleanor lived to serve her family and friends, sharing her love and mastery of authentic, Italian cuisine with anyone fortunate enough to frequent her table. Following WWII, she married a war hero, raised two sons, and served as a practical nurse after putting herself through night school. During holidays, their small home was filled to capacity – especially the kitchen. Upwards of fifty guests enjoyed multiple courses and left stuffing their pockets with leftovers. Later in life, Eleanor’s nursing background was applied to her husband, who she cared for tirelessly until his ninety-seventh year despite suffering three strokes. Family meant everything to Eleanor, and she meant everything to them.

Eleanor is the beloved wife of the late Michael Visocchi. She is the cherished mother of Ronald Visocchi and his wife Maureen and the late David Visocchi and his surviving wife Patricia. She is the devoted grandmother of Michael Visocchi and his wife Alli, Derek Visocchi and his wife Rebecca, Andrea Visocchi, Tracey Visocchi and Julie Visocchi. Great grandmother of Lexington, Maverick, Winston, Landon and Frankie. Dear sister of Edith Rossi and the late Paul Minghella and Rose Ficociello. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday January 3rd, 2023 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Eleanor's Eternal Life at 1 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
