Elena Vainer, wife of Andrey Belous, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 17, 2023.  She was 51 years old.  Born on March 6th, 1972 in Gomel, Belarus, she is the loving daughter of the late Semion Vainer and Nadejda Novikov.  She grew up in Gomel and attended university at the University of Gomel followed by Boston University.  She earned her Master Degree in Computer Science.

In 1995, Elena married the love of her life, her husband Andrey and they moved to the United States in 2000.

Elena settled in Reading and started her family. She worked as a principal software engineer at Comverse and then at Alta Dynamics.

Elena enjoyed traveling, she loved her faithful furry companions, and was a kind person to all. Her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother to her children and a loving friend and caregiver.

She will be greatly missed for her kind and loving spirit.

In addition to being the cherished wife of Andrey, she is the devoted mother of Michael Belous and Nicholas Belous.  Elena is a cherished friend to many and will forever be missed.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visit with Elena's family at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Friday, July 28th, 2023 from 11am to 1pm.  A Service to Celebrate Elena's Life will take place at 1pm.

Interment will follow at Wood End Cemetery, Franklin St., Reading.
