Elinor (Sullivan) Dooley

Elinor (Sullivan) Dooley of Reading passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home. She was 85 years of age.

Born on May 29, 1931 in Reading, Elinor was the loving daughter of the late Charles H. Sullivan and Mary (Doucette) Sullivan. Elinor was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Elinor was the beloved wife of the late David Dooley. She was the devoted mother of Brenda Van Horn, David L. Dooley, Jr., Robert R. Dooley, Ronaele A. Johnson and her husband Timothy, Charles H. Dooley and Sara Dooley and her fiancé Bill Gaipo. Elinor was the cherished grandmother of John, Sharon, Kiley, Jillian, David III, Ryan, Kevin, Lauren, Nicholas and William II. The loving great grandmother of Colby and Alex, Elinor was the dear sister of Betty Rodgers, Ronald Sullivan and his wife Donna-Kay, Richard Sullivan, Russell Sullivan and his wife Janet, Janet White, Marilyn Healy, the late Dorothy Lund and her surviving husband David, the late Robert Sullivan, the late Judy Akin and her late husband Glenn. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Sunday, August 28th from 3-7pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. An hour of visitation will be held on Monday, August 29th beginning at 11am in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
