O'Shea, Elinor M. Glynn -Of North Reading, . Beloved wife of the late Warren O'Shea. Mother of Lynne Seeley of North Reading, Warren G. O'Shea of Portland, Maine, Kerry Lee Gorgone and her husband Dan of Mount Julliet, TN and Tami Lewis and her husband Todd of Raymond, NH. Daughter of the late Patrick and Helena (Reardon) Glynn Sister of the late Michael Glynn of Arizona Grandmother of Asa K Seeley III, Kyle P. Seeley, Sean C. Seeley and Gabrielle S. Seeley, Elizabeth O'Shea, Ben O'Shea, Ewan O'Shea and his Mother April O'Shea, Jack Gorgone, Max Gorgone, and Jesse Nelson. Loving companion of 10 years to the late Peter Nelson, beloved aunt of Vinnie and Carol, along with many nieces and nephews.
Elinor grew up in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She then attended and graduated from Cambridge Hospital School of Nursing. She married her husband Warren and raised her children in Chatham, MA. They were married for 45 years, until he passed away in 2006. For many years, Elinor worked as a nurse, a matron for the Chatham Police Department and was the Shell Fish Warden. Her greatest accomplishment was being a devoted mother and foster mother. Elinor adored her family. She took them on many trips to Disney World, Washington D.C. and Gettysburg. Elinor and her late husband took in foster children for more than 10 years. She wanted to instill good values and make sure that the children she fostered got to have the same advantages as others. Elinor also enjoyed many trips to Europe, with her favorite places being Venice and France. Both of her parents were born in Ireland, Elinor was extremely proud to hold both an Irish and United States citizenship. She was also an avid reader and loved being with her grandchildren. Later in life, Elinor enjoyed ten years with her loving companion Peter Nelson.
She will dearly missed by her loving family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, foster mother, sister and dear friend. Funeral service in the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte.28) NORTH READING, at Reading line on Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 9 to 10:30am. Interment will be Friday in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 10am.
