Elinor M. (Morrell) Agustoni

Elinor M. (Morrell) Agustoni of Stoneham passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. She is 91 years of age.

Born on January 31, 1933 in Greenville, Maine, to the late Stanley Morrell and Lena (Veno) Morrell, Elinor and her sister Carolyn were raised by their maternal grandparents, Theresa and Jack Mason. After high school, Elinor and her friend moved to Boston where she was a dispatcher for Boston Cab. Elinor met her husband, Joe, on a blind date and married two years later. They raised three daughters and created many wonderful memories, most of which were of summers at their cottage and day trips throughout New England. Elinor enjoyed traveling with her husband, sister and brother-in-law.

Elinor was a sassy woman who freely gave her opinion on things. There wasn’t any fussiness with her, she called it as she saw it. She made people laugh with her dry wit and honesty. Elinor spent her spare time working on her beautiful cross-stitch embroidery.

Elinor was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Agustoni. She was the devoted mother of Evelyn Lever and her husband Paul, Jean Lumb and her husband Kenneth and Nancy Agustoni. The cherished grandmother of Paul Lever Jr. and his wife Julie, Sandra Bell and her husband Lorenzo, Amanda Lumb and Daniel Lumb and his wife Lindsey, and great grandmother of Jay Cub Lever, Aguila Lever and Isaiah Thorne. She was the dear sister of the late Carolyn McGauley and her late husband Robert.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Elinor’s Family on Friday, August 16th from 11am – 12:30pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. A Funeral Service Celebrating Elinor’s Life will be held at 12:30 in the Funeral Home. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
