Elisa M Vittiglio

Lisa M. (Cesarale) Vittiglio of Stoneham, Massachusetts, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cherished member of her community, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Guido Vittiglio of Stoneham; son Joseph Vittiglio of Lynnfield and his wife Eileen; son Matthew Vittiglio of Winchester and his wife Nicole; cherished grandchildren Alexa, Andrew, William, Jacqueline and Thomas; sister Mary Evangelista of Woburn; and brother Frank of Stoneham. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Elena and Louis Cesarale, her brother Dominic Cesarale and her brother- in- law Enea Evangelista.

Born and raised in Somerville, Massachusetts, Lisa grew up amongst a large, extended Italian family. She attended St. Joseph's School, where she cultivated the values that would guide her throughout life. After graduating high school, she worked at a local bank and was known for her diligence and warm demeanor. In 1966, Lisa married Guido, the love of her life, and ultimately settled in Stoneham to raise their family. Their bond was a testament to enduring partnership and mutual devotion. Lisa was extremely proud of her family, especially her grandchildren whom she never failed to shower with affection, gifts and, in more recent years, text messages. She was a devout Catholic who never went a weekend without attending mass at St. Patrick’s in Stoneham. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her meticulousness, and the kindness she extended to all she met. Often times her family, upon giving their name at a store or local business, have been asked if they are related to Lisa, the nice little Italian lady that often comes in.

As luck would have it, Lisa and Guido took a wonderful, three week trip through Italy this past October. They visited Milan, Lake Como, Ischia and many family locations, including Lisa’s family’s hometown of Gaeta.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Lisa’s family on Sunday, November 9th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) Stoneham. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
