Elizabeth L. (Casey) Donovan of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at her home in Stoneham. She was 95 years of age.
Elizabeth was born and was a lifelong resident of Stoneham. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School and Boston College Graduate School. She was President of the Catholic Women's Club, a member of the Stoneham Bridge Club and President of North School Council. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoyed reading, traveling, sewing and quilting.
Elizabeth was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her love for her family went unparalleled.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late John J. Donovan. She was the dear mother of Denise McHale, husband James of Wakefield, Kevin Donovan of San Rafael, CA, Thomas P. Donovan, wife Mary of Saco, ME, Paul F. Donovan, wife Pamela of Fernandina Beach, FL, Brian W. Donovan, wife Chrissie of North Hampton, NH, Robert D. Donovan, wife Regis of Basking Ridge, NJ, Philip E. Donovan of Stoneham, Lawrence R. Donovan, Biddeford, ME wife Carol. Mrs. Donovan was the cherished grandmother of James McHale, Thomas McHale, Michelle McHale, Daniel Donovan, John Donovan, Andrew Donovan, Paul L. Donovan, Catherine Alice Donovan, Ann Donovan, Marissa Rusek, Cailin Donovan, Lisa Coughlin, Jacqueline Donovan, Shawn Donovan and the loving great grandmother of 9. She was the dear sister of the late Albert, James, Donald and Eileen Casey and the sister in law of Margaret Casey of Winchester. Elizabeth was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM, Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
