February 9, 1935 — December 13, 2020

Elizabeth Hackett (Pike) Moreira, "Betsy" of Stoneham passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was 85 years of age.

Born on February 9, 1935 in Stoneham, Betsy is the devoted daughter of the late Benjamin Pike and Elizabeth (Duffy) Pike. Betsy is a warm, kind and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betsy was a constant example of generosity. She freely gave her time to others. She cared what was happening in everyone's lives and made it her mission to support others through phone calls, cards, gifts and her time. She was passionate about family and caring for others. Betsy seeked connection and was the matriarch. She always got her friends together, loving her time with them.

She was courageous, took risks and spoke her mind, was determined and strong. She persevered through years of medical challenges and it never stopped her from visiting, caring or traveling. Her artistry was enormous. She could paint, knit, design and organize functions. She had a flare for style and had the confidence to exert her individuality. She was proud to be Catholic and attended weekly mass. Mom loved us all deeply.

Betsy is the dedicated step-mother of Judith Fletcher and her husband Tom, Karen Moreira, Steven Moreira and his wife Audrey, Joanne Roberts and her husband Mike and Tracy Moreira.
