Elizabeth C. Obrien

February 26, 1922 — January 21, 2008

Elizabeth C. (Curtin) O'Brien of Beverly, formerly of Reading passed away on Monday, January 21, 2008 at Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly. She was 85 years of age.





Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Elizabeth was the loving daughter of the late Edward Curtin and Mary (Carr) Curtin. Elizabeth was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.





Elizabeth was a dedicated Administrative Assistant for many years. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She will be remembered for her famous Thanksgiving morning open houses.





Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Carl C. O'Brien. She was the devoted mother of Michael O'Brien and his wife Peggy of Beverly, Peter O'Brien and his wife Rosemary of Gloucester, Maureen Falla and her late husband Colin of New Hampshire, Stephen O'Brien and his wife Kirsten of Reading. Elizabeth was the cherished grandmother of Zachary and Elizabeth O'Brien, Gregory and Jessica Falla, Sheila, Mary Kate, Seamus, Cormac, Brighid and Brennan O'Brien. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.





Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Friday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Elizabeth's life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
