Ellen passed away at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 70 years of age.
A daughter of the late John A. and Ellen T. (Watson) Donohue, Ellen was born in Cambridge and graduated from the Blessed Sacrament Grammar School, Cambridge and Cardinal Cushing High School, South Boston. She was married on September 20, 1969 to Richard T. Piaseczynski. She and Dick lived in Stoneham raising three sons.
Ellen worked for the City of Cambridge in the Veterans Office. Later, she worked as the LOVED cafeteria lady at Stoneham High School. She loved entertaining family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren and she loved to dance. But what could be better than shopping at the Christmas Tree Shop, and giving all she bought to her family. She was truly the best.
Ellen was the beloved wife of Richard T. Piaseczynski. She was the devoted mother of Connecticut State Police Master- Sergeant Richard J. Piaseczynski and his wife Cheryl, Michael S. Piaseczynski and his wife Dominie and James T. Piaseczynski. Ellen was the loving grandmother of Emma, John, Shayla & Cole. She was the dear sister of Lawrence P. Donohue, John M. Donohue and Margaret D. Urquhart. Ellen was also loved by many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday November 18, 2013 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Ellen's Eternal Life in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am.. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 3-7 PM in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
