Elsie was raised in Wakefield, attended St. Joseph's Parochial School as a child and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. Elsie married her "sweetheart" Richard J. Robbins in 1945, the couple moved to Reading, where they raised their family, and together shared many wonderful times before his passing in 1995. Family was very important to Elsie; she was a devoted mother to her four children, a wonderful homemaker, and a loving grandmother, there wasn't anything Elsie wouldn't do for her family.

Elsie loved to work out in her yard, she was an avid vegetable gardener and had many beautiful and colorful flowers as well. Always a nature lover, Elsie had a passion for birds, flowers and beautiful things.

Elsie will be fondly remembered as kind, caring, a wonderful friend and neighbor, and a little competitive especially when it came to Bingo. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Elsie was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Robbins, devoted mother of Richard W. Robbins and his companion Mary Ann Sullivan of Reading and Wilmington, Christopher S.
