Emily M. (Visocchi), Nazzaro, of Stoneham, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2002 at the Winchester Hospital, Winchester.
Born in Stoneham, Mrs. Nazzaro was a life long resident of Stoneham, graduating from Stoneham High School Class of 1947. She was a traffic director for the Town of Stoneham.
Emily had many hobbies she enjoyed. She loved to sew and loved children. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Her family was first and foremost in her life and she loved being with people. Her warm and friendly smile reflected the wonderful friendships she made over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be missed by all.
Emily was the beloved wife of Anthony J. Nazzaro Sr. She was the loving mother of Donna Tamburrini and her husband John of Stoneham, Anthony J. Nazzaro Jr and his wife Marie of Richmond, Virginia, loving grandmother of John Tamburrini, step grandmother of Michael Pretopapa, Jeneine Pretopapa and great grandmother of Destiny. Dear sister of Kathleen and Arthur DiDonatis of Wakefield, Michael and Eleanor Visocchi of Stoneham, Elsie Pacitto of Medford, Eleanor and Frank Valente of Stoneham, her twin sister Alfreda "Bunny" Buccheri of Stoneham, the late Jennie Visocchi, Betty Morrill and Evelyn Mazzarella and sister-in-law of Lucy & Frank Nazzaro of Everett, Rose Vitale and Lucy Masiello of Malden, Josie Correggio of Everett and Anna Cirino of CA.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (Rte. 28) STONEHAM on Wednesday 4-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central Street, Stoneham on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham MA.
