Emily M. (Gately) Smith

Emily Marie (Gately) Smith of Stoneham, formerly of Melrose passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022.  She is the beloved wife for 47 years of the late Major Robert T. Smith, USAF, Ret.

Emily is the daughter of the late Martha (Walsh) and Edward Gately.  She is the loving mother of Robert Smith Jr. of Hampstead, New Hampshire, William R. Smith and his wife Karen Galatis-Smith of Stoneham and Bonnie (Smith) Beckman of Derry, New Hampshire.  The loving grandmother of James Smith, Steven Smith, Brian Smith, David Galatis, Amanda Smith, Jessica Smith, Andrew Smith and Gately Beckman, Emily is the cherished great-grandmother of Theo Galatis, Jackson Smith, Shaylynn Smith and Aiden Smith.  She is the sister of the late Ann Matson, Richard, Edward, Charles, and Robert Gately.  

Funeral services from  are private at the request of the family.
