Pacillo, Emily (Tofuri) –Of Saugus, formerly of Reading, passed away on Sunday, June 11 ^th at home surrounded by her children and sons-in-law. Emily was born in Winchester, MA on Oct. 27, 1938 to the late Joseph and Emelia (Paolucci) of Italy. She was the former wife of Anthony F. Pacillo Jr. of Winthrop. Beloved mother of Anthony Pacillo III and his wife Stephanie, Elisa Magliozzi and her husband Kevin, Michelle Villamia, Lori Presho and her husband Charlie. Cherished Noni of Arianna, Anthony IV, and Ava Pacillo, Colby Magliozzi, Ariana Villamia, and Joseph, Michael, and Charlie III Presho. Great-Noni to Eddison Bowe. Sister of Mary Tofuri-Loiacono, Anna Pinzone and her husband Salvatore, and the late Charlie, Angelo, Joseph, and Domenic Tofuri and Marianna Esposito. Emily is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Janet. She was a nurse for 55 years, graduated from the Beverly Nursing School. She worked in many hospitals and nursing homes through the years, ending her career after 22 years at the Hammersmith Nursing Center in Saugus. Emily was known for decorating her home every holiday for her grandchildren, and her delicious Italian cooking. The family would like to thank nurses Karen MacKenzie and Mariam Thomas of Care Dimensions for taking such great care of Emily. A Funeral Service will be held in the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), North Reading, at Reading line, on Tuesday, June 20 ^th , at 7:30pm. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7:30pm.
