Enrico V. Marotta

March 7, 1932 — March 29, 2013

Enrico V. Marotta of Reading, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Friday March 29, 2013 at Winchester Hospital. He was 81 years of age.



Born in Chiusano San Domenico, Italy, Enrico was the loving son of the late Emilio and Giuseppina (Aversa) Marotta. Enrico was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.



Enrico was the beloved husband of Enrichetta (DeGuglielmo) Marotta. He was the devoted father of Emilio V. Marotta and his wife Trina Hyta-Marotta and Rina Marotta. Enrico was the dear brother of Gerarda Luongo and her husband Angelo of Florida and the late Amabile Marotta and his late wife Ecla Marotta. He was the dear brother-in-law of Francesco DeGuglielmo, Pellegrino DeGuglielmo, Antonietta Petruzziello, Sr. Evelina DeGuglielmo, Charles DeGuglielmo and Rita Paci. Enrico is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.



Enrico was a member of Sons of Italy in Reading. He had a tremendous love for his family.



Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday April 5, 2013 at 9:30 followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Enrico's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday April 4, 2013 from 4:30-8:30pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
