Esther B. (Capone) Pelletier

Esther B. (Capone) Pelletier of Andover passed away on Friday, August 28th, 2026. She is 101 years of age.

Born on Monday, April 6th, 1925 in Winchester, Esther is the loving daughter of the late Louis Capone and Ernestina (Pascucci) Capone. Esther is a warm, kind, gentle and loyal daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.

Esther was a life long learner, very independent, curious and athletic. Those characteristics carried her across the world, recording over 500 birds to her Audubon list as well as distance swimming records and half triathlons well into her 80’s. 

An avid golfer, at 91 years of age she scored a hole in one. She was captain of her 1942 field hockey team and an accomplished skier. Later in life she played the piano and guitar. Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash were her favorite country singers.

She was kind, gentle with a dry sense of humor, but occasionally could be strongly opinionated about people and matters.

Esther was a one of a kind person.

Esther is the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Pelletier. She is the dear and devoted sister of the late Sarah Galuska, Louis Capone, Victoria Capone, Paul Capone, Andy Capone, Mary DelRossi and her twin sister Frances Sellitto. Esther is cherished aunt of Linda Capone-Newton, Elia Marnik, Ellen Dupuis, Robert Capone, Thomas Capone and Paul DelRossi.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Mass Celebrating Esther’s Eternal Life on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:30am in Saint Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street NORTH READING. Interment will take place at a later date.
