Eugene Redmond Cremins of Stoneham and North Falmouth, passed away January 15, 2023 at age 91 surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of the late Grace (Kelly) Cremins. Devoted father of James Eugene Cremins and his wife Karen, Joan Cremins and her husband James Igoe, Janet Cremins and John Redmond Cremins. Cherished grandfather of Ryan and his wife Kaitlyn, Timothy and his significant other Haley, Keri Grace and her husband Matthew, Shannon Joy, Sean Eugene and his wife Jackie, Caitlin, Thomas, Jillian and Patrick. Doting great grandfather of CAL and Jaime Redmond. Dear brother of Mary Cremins. Also survived by many first cousins whom he loved dearly. Gene was a proud US Navy Veteran and was stationed in the Mediterranean and Africa. He was a loyal Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Friend. Gene loved life and family. He had many long term childhood friends from Somerville that he enjoyed over the years.
He and Grace traveled extensively, seldom missing an event/game/recital of children and grandchildren. Gene spent summers in Megansett and winters in St Pete Beach after retiring early from AT&T. He was an avid cribbage player and all time Cremins champion. He also loved sailing around the cape in his sailfish. He and Grace spent many hours on his motorcycle, traversing the “roads less traveled by” on Cape Cod. Gene was always there for any family member in need. The world was simply a better place with Eugene R Cremins in it.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM, Monday, Jan. 23rd at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Eugene’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Gene’s Family on Sunday, Jan. 22nd from 2-5pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment VA National Cemetery on Tues. Jan. 24th at 10am.
