Evelyn M. (Parziale) Belmonte

Evelyn M. (Parziale) Belmonte, of Stoneham formerly of Reading, passed away on Monday April 17th, 2023. She was 91 years of age. 

 

Evelyn married the love of her life, Leo, in 1954 and together they created a loving home in Reading where they raised five daughters.  Evelyn was a dedicated employee at Sears for over twenty years and then went on to work at the Sons of Italy office for over fifteen years until she retired at the age of eighty. 

 

Evelyn often talked about going to Red Sox games when she was younger to watch her favorite baseball hero, Ted Williams, and she always commented about how back then she could buy a ticket for a nickel.  Evelyn was happiest when she was spending time with her family.  She always loved the holidays, she felt the holidays were such a special time with family.  In past years, she looked forward to summertime and large family gatherings that included weekend barbeques, Fourth of July celebrations, and Cape trips to Falmouth.  Evelyn loved playing bingo, she was a regular at the Sons of Italy bingo every Wednesday night with her sister Kay.  She also enjoyed going on casino trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, and playing cards with family and friends. 

 

Evelyn and Leo loved spending time with their daughters and in time were blessed with seven grandchildren.  They adored their grandchildren and were always there to cheer them on at all of their accomplishments, they were both so proud of their children and grandchildren.  Leo passed away in 1996 and after some time, Evelyn was blessed with 6 great grandchildren.  She was an extremely loving, caring and supportive mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend every single moment until her passing.  She was an amazing woman who believed family means everything in life.  Evelyn was the kindest, sweetest woman who was loved and adored by everyone who knew her.   She had a smile that would light up any room she entered.  She will be sorely missed and will forever be in our hearts.

 

Evelyn is the beloved wife of the late Leo A. Belmonte. She is the cherished mother of Susan Fay and her husband Richard, Linda Jones and her husband Kenney, Janice Fitzpatrick and her late husband James, Barbara Richards and her husband Kevin and Elaine Welch. Loving grandmother of Kristen Poston and her husband Mark, Lindsey Kisielius and her husband Doug, Stephani Hunt and her husband Ryan, Jim Fitzpatrick, Jaclyn Fitzpatrick, Chris Welch, and Tim Welch. Great grandmother of Jack, Olivia, Teddy, Stella, Evelina and Delphina. Daughter of the late Carmine Parziale and Louise (Demars) Parziale and step-mother Maria Parziale. Dear sister of Michele DeAngelis, Marie Ferrari and the late Connie Restani, Catherine Ciampa, James Parziale and Carmine Parziale. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her grand pups Leo, Ace, Jasper, Curly and Gabby. 

 

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Thursday April 27th, 2023 from 2 pm to 5 pm followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Evelyn's Life at 5 pm. Parking attendants and elevator available.
